Leaders in Transition is a leadership development program designed and delivered by the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work, The Middle Space. This unique program is designed and customized specifically for leaders and directors of Social Service Agencies experiencing transition in the workplace. Throughout the experience full of facilitated learning and reflection components, participating directors will engage in dialogue with other regional leaders from various sectors including government, business, and non-profits. These leaders will be individually selected and matched with the areas of interest and improvement sought by participating directors
"I left more professionally motivated and enthused than I have felt in quite some time."
~ A participating DSS Director
"I wish I would have had this as a resource as a new director. I feel that this is a great step for NCACDSS and UNC and will prove to be a great collaboration"
~ Existing DSS Director – commenting on the program in general.
"[this program is] redefining [the] role of the director as someone who is the first among equals rather than someone who has all the answers. Everyone has some leadership traits in them; the trick is to tap that part of them."
~ A participating DSS Director
