The United Nations Regenerative Leadership Program is a week-long residential leadership training program for senior managers from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The program design combines Leadership and Management competencies, which are aligned with the UNDP Competency Framework. Additionally, relevant, cutting edge substantive sessions focusing on the context of participants' work is included. The program combines interactions with faculty, practitioners and students and is built around a series of lectures, group discussions and individual work. The individual work consists of journaling exercises, as well as the development, formulation, and presentation of an action plan to both fellow participants and program faculty.
The content has been customized to address the current and contextualized challenges facing senior managers of the UNDP. The content is results-oriented, grounded in purpose and focuses on value-based leadership principles. The program focus is on three areas of competency in leadership: the competency of learning "how" to be an effective leader, the competency of learning "what" an effective leader knows, and the competency of learning to manage "change" in a large development organization.
"We greatly enjoyed the opportunity to "co-create" and learn with you and to gain a better understanding of what is needed for a senior leadership program for the UNDP. We hope that we will be able to contribute further on this important work."
~ UN Chief for Learning Resources
"Your engagement strategies, co-creation, and regenerative leadership strategies have left me with a direction, renewal and a framework that I have never received in any training in the 33 years I have been in this field."
